Body Forth

Touch the earth

As the wakeful one

Long before you,

Even now

Born in constellations

Your roots

Were always deep

In infancy

The terrors

That scared you

Scattering skyward

Set in stone

The raging goddess

Called you down

Still singing

Her billowing song

Drawing your tether

Ever nearer

To she

Who feeds you

Through humbling motion

Rich as black earth

Teeming

With the simple

Home again

Having released

Oh such heavy

Lifting burdens

The earth

Ablaze with stars

In family

Ever held and holding

The hourglass

The lemniscate

The vajra

The void
